Enhanced Access

Enhanced Access

The Enhanced Access Service (EAS) was established to replace GP Access Hubs and Extended Hours to deliver patients additional appointments across Bromley

EAS will offer evening and weekend appointments for patients registered with Bromley practices.

Patients registered with a Bromley GP can now be seen outside of normal practice hours at a location within their PCN.

For Crays PCN, this takes place at:

Poverest Medical Centre

42 Poverest Rd
Orpington
BR5 2DQ

Monday – Friday: 4pm – 8pm

Broomwood Road Surgery

41 Broomwood Rd
Orpington
BR5 2JP

Saturday: 9am – 5pm

How do I get an appointment?

You can get an appointment through your own GP practice.

If you have called NHS 111 for an urgent problem, NHS 111 may be able to book you an appointment at one of the Access Hubs if the problem can be attended to by a GP.

Benefits of EAS

  • These appointments are designed to be an extension of GP services.
  • Patients will see a local GP who will have access to the patient’s GP records allowing continuity of care.
  • Details of patient consultation will be available to the registered GP straight away
  • Waiting times will be kept to a minimum through the appointment system
  • GPs will be able to book advance appointments for their patients
  • Appointments are available with a variety of staff including practice nurse, clinical pharmacist, physician associate, nurse practitioner or health care assistant.
  • All GP surgeries in Bromley are connected to the same IT network, meaning, once you have given permission, your medical records can be accessed and updated, no matter which doctor you see.
  • The EAS is staffed by experienced GPs and other health care professionals and offers assessments/treatment for adults and children.
